SCREWFIX PREMIER DIVISION: THERE will be some extra spice to Devizes Town's clash at Odd Down on Saturday when they come face to face with former skipper Bradley Newman.
The midfielder opted for a change of scene earlier this month but will have a quicker than expected reunion with his former Devizes team-mates.
The Nursteed Road club were without a game last weekend so have rested up and are keen to put their 4-0 drubbing to Barnstaple in their last outing behind them.
Devizes were already looking for revenge over Odd Down after losing 3-0 in the reverse last November when Town spurned numerous chances to take the lead and were 2-0 down by half-time.
But victory on Saturday would now be made all the more sweet because their former skipper is now in the Odd Down ranks.
Devizes' assistant boss Sean Moffatt said: "Obviously we will be using the Bradley Newman thing to fire our lads up a bit. But it is all in good spirits.
"We have no hard feelings towards Brad. I expect we will look to try and get him back for next season.
"He was looking for a change of scene at the moment but I think he will come back next season.
"I'm sure there will be some friendly banter on Saturday and hopefully the added spice from facing Brad will drive our lads on."
