MALMESBURY Victoria are getting ready for one of their biggest games of the season.
Their match at Headington Amateurs last weekend was abandoned after 20 minutes because of high winds.
But they are hoping for perfect conditions on Saturday when Vics host Highworth in Supplementary Cup quarter-finals.
Assistant manager Paul Rose said: "The match at Headington was amazing. I've never seen conditions like it and I've been playing for a long time.
"The goalkeeper put the ball down for a goal-kick and it just blew right the way across the pitch. The trainer's kitbag got blown across the pitch as well. It was unbelievable."
Malmesbury's cup clash with Highworth kicks-off at 3pm on Saturday and Rose is hoping the Vics can cause an upset.
"It will be difficult to go all the way but we have done well in this competition and have already beaten Bicester and Wantage," he said.
"Since we got out floodlights we have done training more often and have been doing pretty well in games and have picked up some good results."
