Ref. 12571/3PUPILS of Kennet Valley School were transported thousands of miles to India without leaving the comfort of their classrooms.
Children at the school in East Kennett have been studying the Indian village of Chembakoli this term.
And last week the school staged an Indian week focusing on the country's culture and crafts, giving pupils a chance to try techniques such as making flower garlands, fabric printing and Mendhi henna designs.
Dance expert Monisha dropped into teach classical Indian steps and the rhythms of Bollywood film stars.
On Friday, children sampled Indian food and parents told of their experiences living, working and visiting India. Mum Chandra Ahmed wore her sari and her elder daughter Katrina demonstrated Indian dance.
Deputy headteacher Jo Corbett said: "It was a wonderful end to a wonderful week."
