A MAN charged with murder after a stabbing in Swindon has appeared in court.
Daryl Kluk, 32, of Bath Road, appeared at Swindon Magistrates' Court to answer a charge of having murdered John Lindsay Goldman on Saturday. Kluk made no plea or declaration.
Presiding magistrate David Rogers ordered Kluk should be remanded in custody until March 30, when he will appear at Bristol Crown Court at 10am.
There was no application for bail.
Mr Goldman, who was 34, lived in County Road.
He was allegedly attacked somewhere in the Manchester Road area at about 3.30pm on Saturday.
A trail of blood was later found between an alleyway and his home, where he was found.
He subsequently died at the Great Western Hospital.
On Tuesday, Mr Goldman's body was formally identified by relatives.
Yesterday in the neighbourhood, a local man, who asked not to be identified, said much of the area consisted of multi-occupancy and boarding houses, with some private houses.
He added: "People don't tend to know each other everybody tends to do their own thing."
