On Saturday pupils from Churchfields School, in Swindon, and Ridgeway School, in Wroughton, will join students from four other schools from across Wiltshire for the fun competition with a serious message.
It will be the first time Swindon Magis-trates Court has hosted the event but Michael Mizen, the assistant justices' clerk for Wilt-shire, said this is the fourth year it has been running.
"Swindon magistrates enjoy working with young people and have visited a number of schools to conduct presentations about the magistracy," he said.
The fictitious scenario the budding barristers have been preparing for is a case involving flytipping.
Judge John McNaught, who sits at Swindon Crown Court, is to keep an eye on events from the bench.
