A VETERINARY group with a branch in Wootton Bassett has been shortlisted as one of the best practices in the country.
George Veterinary Group is in the running for the Petplan Veterinary Practice Of The Year.
Over the last four months, Petplan, an insurance provider, has searched the nation for the most outstanding veterinary professionals.
The George Veterinary Group, which was established more than 60 years ago, has three sites surgeries in Wootton Bassett and Tetbury and a hospital in Malmesbury.
The practice cares for small animals, cattle and horses.
It employs 20 vets, seven vet nurses and 10 receptionists covering all three areas.
The group also offers many state-of-the art facilities, including two operating theatres, an on-site laboratory and ECG and ultrasonic sound equipment.
Fiona Pinkney, from Petplan, said: "The awards not only recognise the dedication and commitment of professionals working in a practice but also rewards them for their efforts.
"It was clear from the George Veterinary Group nomination that the teamwork of the staff makes an impressive and reassuring practice."
The winners will be announced on April 1.
