GAZETTE & HERALD: Arthritis sufferer David Paterson will be collecting funds for charity at Focus DIY in Chippenham this weekend.
Mr Paterson, 48, has been described as a walking miracle because of his phenomenal fundraising efforts despite suffering from the crippling condition.
He will be collecting for the Arthritis Research Campaign helped by members of arc's Calne branch.
Mr Paterson has suffered from arthritis since he was a child and he recently topped the £600,000 mark after fundraising for 24 years.
He has spent more then 156,000 hours as a volunteer collecting outside Sainsbury, Savacentre and Homebase stores across the country.
Steve Chesworth, regional appeal manager for Wiltshire arc said: "We're always on the look out for new volunteers to help out with a variety of fundraising activities.
"Anyone in the Chippenham area who has a few hours to spare and who would like to get involved with the charity can call me. I'd love to hear from them."
