THE Kennet and Avon Canal Partnership, responsible for restoring the canal to its former glory, has been given an award for its strong teamwork.
It was named a winner in the partnership category at the Waterways Renaissance Awards at Madame Tussaud's in London last week. The awards recognise best practice in waterway regeneration across the UK.
The Kennet and Avon Canal Partnership formed in 1994 to oversee an engineering programme completing the restoration of the canal making it full operational and accessible for members of the public to enjoy by boat, bike, or on foot.
