VISITORS at the opening of Longleat Safari Park this weekend will be able to take a trip to the beach despite being miles from the sea.
The Sea Lion Beach, built on the Half Mile Lake, is the newest attraction at the park when it opens on Saturday.
Other new attractions include flamingoes, water features and living sculptures.
Lord Bath said: "The sea lions are real characters and have proved extremely popular with the visitors ever since they first arrived here in 1968. I often hear their barks from the house and it's wonderful to see how at home they are in the lake.
"I understand many are now parents, grandparents and even great grandparents which goes to show just how happy they are."
Visitors will also be able to meet three new rhinos who are joining the existing group to boost Longleat's breeding programme.
