Ref. 29254-87If you fancy taking a walk to help a little boy walk, take a trip to Trax gym on Monday.
Trax, in Sheppard Street, is holding a walkathon to raise money for four-year-old Brandon Humphries, who has cerebral palsy.
His parents Tracey, 38, and Tony, 42, from The Prinnels, have launched a campaign, called Brandon's Best Foot Forward, to raise £4,000 to pay for their son to visit a special school to help him walk.
Brandon hopes to spend a month at the world renowned Peto Institute, in Budapest, which pioneered a unique therapy used to treat cerebral palsy called conductive education.
Less than £500 is needed before they reach the target and Trax gym hopes to bridge the gap.
Personal trainer, Liam Dixon, 32, said: "We're ready to start walking on the treadmill and raise as much money as possible for Brandon. He is so determined to walk, we're all happy to help."
A sponsored football tournament, weight lifting event and non-uniform days are just some of the activities which have raised money so far. The sponsored walkathon, which runs from 7am until 7pm, is open to gym members and the public.
