THIS is the man killed in an attack in Swindon last week.
John Goldman, 34, of County Road, was stabbed to death on the afternoon of Saturday, March 20.
He was taken to the Great Western Hospital at 3.30pm but died several hours later from his injuries.
Police have now issued a picture of Mr Goldman in a bid to get as many witnesses to the crime or the immediate aftermath to come forward to help them in their investigations.
A trail of blood was left along an alleyway in County Road as Mr Goldman staggered to the back of his home after the attack.
Mr Goldman was 6ft 2in with short, dark hair, and at the time of his death wore blue jeans and trainers.
Det Chief Insp Kevin Capstick of Swindon CID, who is leading the inquiry, believes someone must have seen Mr Goldman trying to get home.
He said this week: "I would urge witnesses or anyone with information to please make contact.
"All information received will be held in the strictest confidence."
