A GIRLS football team representing Dorcan Technical College are one game away from appearing at Southampton's St Mary's stadium.
The under-13 side made it through to the south west semi-final of the Coca Cola National Schools Cup with a 2-1 win over Backwell Technology College.
Kerry Abley fired Dorcan ahead in the first half, Backwell equalised after the break but Sasha Edwards hammered home the winner.
They will now face either Liskeard School from Cornwall or the winner from Tavistock against Newquay Tretheras.
A win at St Mary's will put Dorcan through to the national finals which will be played at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.
Run jointly with the English Schools Football Association, the Coca-Cola National Schools Cup for under 13 boys and girls is now entering its second year with over 2,200 school teams and 37,500 children taking part.
Dorcan coach Tony Williams said: "The girls are really excited about playing in this tournament.
"It is a great opportunity and the chance to play at the home of Premiership clubs is an amazing target for the girls."
