The GWR Group, which broadcasts to Swindon and the West Country, has announced that it expects analogue revenues to be up by eight per cent year on year at the end of this month.
Income from the Local Radio Group section of the company, which is responsible for generating about 70 per cent of the group's revenue, is also expected to be up by six per cent year on year this quarter.
An independent survey initiated by the Digital Radio Development Bureau revealed that the company's Classic FM and Planet Rock radio stations were the most frequently cited when people were questioned about why they bought digital radios.
The group expects to publish its preliminary results for the year on May 25.
