SALISBURY under 12s put in a powerful display, brushing aside the opposition in three matches to lift the Wiltshire Cup without conceding a single point.
The team travelled to Devizes determined to go one better than last season when they were beaten in the final.
First up they took revenge on last year's cup victors Wootton Bassett beating them by a convincing 20 points.
Corsham were put to the sword 45-0 with no fewer than eight Salisbury players adding their names to the list of try scorers.
The final against Chippenham promised to be the toughest match of the day but Salisbury were in confident mood and their swagger saw the runners-up reduced to scrabbling in defence.
Shepherd added two more tries to his tally for the day and Heathcote another as Salisbury ran out 15-0 victors. Skipper Heathcote lifted the trophy, applauded by a generous Chippenham crowd.
Meanwhile the under 14s bounced back from their cup final defeat to beat visiting Harbury 36-5.
Tries from Oakes, Patterson, Cole (2), Hogg and Barwick proved too much for the visitors who could snatch only one last-minute consolation try.
Salisbury under 15s proved too strong for first-time opponents Pewsey Vale and ran out worthy winners 53-13.
Brynn Meredith capped a fine performance with two tries. Hamish Walker and Michael Dauwalder also added their names to the score sheet.
Jack Barratt and Robin Talbot represented Salisbury in the under 15s Wiltshire side which defeated Dorset 31-0 under floodlights at Castle Road.
