AFC STRATTON maintained their 13 point lead over nearest rivals Trowbridge Town with a 3-0 win at Corsham Town Reserves.

Stratton were gifted an interval lead when a home defender put through his own goal under pressure, but after the break the visitors took command and Robbie Broadbanks, after missing a penalty, made amends by adding a second and Anthony McCusker made sure of the points with a third.

Trowbridge kept up the pressure as they also notched up a 3-0 win at Devizes Town Reserves.

Biddestone dislodged Purton Reserves from third spot with a 3-0 win over the Red House side.

After a goal-less first half Jamie Lyons converted a penalty early in the second period, Dan Charman headed a second 10 minutes later and Dean Brookman scored a third from a corner to complete the tally.

In Junior Division One, leaders Trowbridge Town Reserves were made to fight every inch of the way by Westside before a goal in injury time by 16-year-old Matt Minnus gave them the points.

AFC Stratton Reserves had the services of Fairford striker Phil Corcoran and he did not let his old team-mates down, scoring in their 4-2 victory over Calne Town Reserves. Ian Fowkes added two more and Gerry Wright weighed in with a fourth, Steve Davis scoring twice for Calne.

Biddestone Reserves found themselves without a referee for their game against Ferndale Rodbourne, but a home club official took over the whistle and enjoyed a sound game.

Richard Saxby scored the only goal of the game for Ferndale on the stroke of half-time.

Wootton Bassett United kept their title hopes alive with a 2-0 win at Down Ampney, Bryn Keech and an own goal doing the damage, and Marlborough Town Reserves beat Cricklade Reserves 1-0 thanks to a first-half goal from Mark Sheekey.

Aldbourne Reserves gained a surprise 6-3 win at Sherston thanks to goals from Darryl Mason (2) , Jamie Cornfield (2), Matt Fryer and an own goal. Glen Rogers, Richard Payne and Damien Weir replied.

Wanborough's game with Bromham finished 10 minutes early when Richard Merchant sustained a broken leg in a harmless looking tackle with a Bromham forward.

The visitors were leading 3-0 at the time with goals from Lee and Andy Davies and a Ross Law own goal.
