YOUNG people from all over the county will be able to take part in a contemporary dance project thanks to a £23,000 grant aid won by the Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership.
The partnership was awarded £19,000 in grants from the Arts Council England South West and £5,000 from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation to fund the project, entitled Zero Gravity Wiltshire.
The one-year project will target young people aged 13 to 21 of all abilities and be run in partnership with the county council's youth development service, the Arc Theatre in Trowbridge and Swindon Dance.
It will develop a network of youth dance groups and the development of a Wiltshire County Youth Dance Group. The groups will work towards showcase events, including DanceXpress, Wiltshire's youth dance festival at the Arc on July 24 and 25.
