GILES Harris' late goal gave Mark Collier his first victory as permanent boss at Swindon Supermarine.
It was a deserved success for Marine who had been the better team for much of the Western Division contest as new boy Steve Jenkins shone alongside some of the old guard.
Reverting to a 4-4-2 formation, Marine looked a far more solid proposition and Jenkins, playing alongside Steve Davies in the centre of defence, helped Collier's men claim their first clean sheet since November.
"We were decent," said an understated Collier. "We should have been a couple ahead at half-time and they weren't really a threat.
"At half-time I thought we might have missed our chance but we dug in and got the goal we deserved in the end.
"Steve Jenkins had an excellent debut alongside Steve Davies in a 4-4-2.
"It's the way I've wanted to play for a while and it helped us cope with their wide men.
"Their manager Ged Roddy has said to me after the game 'what are you lot doing down there in the table?' It's because we don't play like that every week.''
