Screwfix First Division: WILTSHIRE Senior Cup finalists Corsham Town get back into action tomorrow night when they entertain Clevedon United.

Nobby Bush's side will go into the game on the back of a ten-day break but will be without influential captain Nigel Curtis.

He is suspended for picking up five bookings but Corsham should be boosted by the expected signing of former Devizes Town player-manager Dave Hopkins last night.

Bush said: "We played Clevedon a few weeks ago at their place and came away with a 2-0 win. But they did give us a few frights in that game. We had a good start took foot off gas and they came back at us. They more than capable and we rode our luck at times."

Bush said having to reshuffle his line-up is a headache but he is still confident his team can do the double over Clevedon.

"Nigel is a massive loss to us," he added. "He has been a big player, especially in the last month. But John Woods didn't play in the game at their place and he will be available on Friday and we are hoping to sign Dave Hopkins.

"I will have to juggle things but everyone should be fresh following the Shrewton game last Tuesday."

Bush hopes the signing of Hopkins would give his side a timely boost as they enter the final stages of the season. "Dave is looking to fulfil his end of season with us and Pewsey and he will be a good addition," added Bush.

"He knows I will stay loyal to the players that have done well all season but we have got games coming thick and fast and Nigel Curtis is going to be unavailable.

"Dave has indicated that he wants to come here over other places and we have always been light on cover across the back."

If tomorrow's game attracts a big enough crowd future games may be played on a Friday night.

"Moving the game to a Friday is just a tester to see what sort of response we get," said Bush. "I hope there will be a good atmosphere. Everything is going in the right direction at the moment and we've got the cup final on the backburner."

The final of the Wiltshire Senior Cup between Corsham Town and Trowbridge Town has been pencilled in for Tuesday April 27 at Hardenhuish Park, Chippenham.
