DETECTIVES are convinced someone must have seen the sex attacker who assaulted a young girl in Toothill.
The 12-year-old was attacked while she sat alone in Folly Park, off Flint Hill.
It is two weeks since the attack, and tonight officers will be at the park between 5.30pm and 7pm talking to walkers and appealing for information.
Det Insp Paul Jennings, who is leading the hunt for the attacker, said: "This park is frequently used by dog walkers and we are very hopeful witnesses will come forward.
"We have got a very good description of the man and are carrying out more door-to-door inquiries.
"We will also be carrying out a further interview with the victim."
The assault happened between 6pm and 6.30pm on March 18 and afterwards the attacker ran off towards Beaulieu Close.
The girl was so shaken up that it has only just been reported to the police.
The attacker was 5ft 9in, skinny, in his early 30s with short dark hair.
He wore a dark green jumper with a sports motif on the collar and a pair of black Army-style boots with rubber studs.
Anyone with information should call Swindon police on 01793 528111.
