A 67-YEAR-OLD woman was robbed after a man leapt out of a car and snatched her handbag as she was walking along Bath Road, Devizes last Friday at 1pm.
The burgundy-coloured car was carrying four young men and one jumped out of the passenger door and made a grab for her bag containing a purse and cash.
A police spokesman said the woman tried to keep hold of it but the man kept tugging and eventually pulled it free from her shoulder. The car then sped away.
The offender was described as wearing blue denim jeans and a jacket. He was around 25, six foot tall with distinctive black teeth and a gap in his teeth to the upper right.
The driver, in his early 20s who remained in the car, had a jagged scar from his ear to his chin.
The backseat passengers were a male of mixed race with a baseball cap on backwards and sunglasses, and a baby- faced male around 19-years-old, with dark blond greasy, collar length hair.
