ORNITHOLOGISTS keen to see birds arriving from their wintering grounds in Africa should head to the Cleveland Lakes Reserve on Sunday for a guided walk.
Graham Maples, from Dursley Birdwatching and Preservation Society, will lead the walk to see birds coming from Africa to breed at the Cotswold Water Park.
Cleveland Lakes Reserve is one of the newest reserves at the water park and one of the best places to see these birds.
In the past week, sand martins, swallows, chiffchaffs, wheaters and ringed plovers have all been seen there.
Gareth Harris, the biodiversity officer at the Cotswold Water Park, said: "Early spring is an exciting time at the water park as we have many of the wintering ducks departing as many of the summer migrants arrive."
The walk starts at the Waterhay car park at 9.30am.
