CHIPPENHAM shrugged off last weekend's second cup defeat and came back with a convincing 53-0 win at the Gloucester based club, Longlevens.

The home side could only put out twelve players and so Chippenham gave them three players to balance up the two teams.

Chippenham started the game in a positive manner and gained the upper hand.

The pressure on Longlevens soon told with Stefan Crawley going over to score the first of his five tries in the match.

Crawley's try was quickly followed by a try from Tom Davies after which the Chippenham forwards really to dominate play. This dominance allowed Crawley to score two more tries. With Mattie Johnson adding another try, this gave the visitors a comfortable 0-29 lead going into the half-time break.

Chippenham continued their dominance and some good interpl,ay from the forwards created space for the backs.

It was the Chippenham backs who created the chances for Crawley to score two more tries.

Chippenham's lead was further increased with tries from Luke Hyland and Richard Thatcher.

Towards the end of the half, Longlevens seemed to lose their heads and some ugly indiscipline occurred which resulted in a Longlevens player being sent off.
