A ROCK musician from Westbury is hoping to crack the big time after securing himself a gig at a famous London venue.
On Wednesday Leander Morales will be performing at The Troubadour Club, which played host to stars such as Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan in the 1960s.
By day the 26-year-old, who lives in Eden Vale Road, is a valeter at Oval Motors. But by night he has already built up a reputation as a singer/songwriter in the west country.
Mr Morales, who has been playing live for 10 years, says combining the two jobs has not been easy.
He believes Wednesday's concert, which will see his backing band include members of Bradford on Avon band BlackBud, could be crucial in realising his dream of becoming a professional musician.
He said: "No one makes it overnight the whole idea of having this gig is to have a platform to promote myself. I also wanted to combine friends together so we can all have a piece of the experience."
Mr Morales says his colleagues at Oval Motors are right behind him.
"Deep down they are supportive, but there's lots of banter. Liam Gallagher was a valeter as well, but I've not been trashing any pubs in Westbury," he said.
