IT will seem like an old friends' re-union tomorrow when Calne Town entertain Larkhall Athletic and Kelvin Highmore believes this should make his work for the day easy.

Former Calne Town boss Paul Rankin manages Larkhall and their team should include a number of ex-Calne players, including Micky Garcia, Matt Peters and Andy Towers.

Calne are currently just above midtable with no promotion or relegation to worry about but Highmore believes none of his players will need any motivation to raise their game tomorrow.

He said: "My team talk should be easy. Games against Larkhall always have that edge about them because there are so many connections between the two clubs.

"There will be a few players from both sides out there with a point to prove and it should be a good close match.

"We will treat it like a local derby and although they are on a good run we obviously want to beat them."

Injuries have hit Calne hard in the last few weeks resulting in Highmore blooding a number of youngsters into the team with a view to next season.

There are still a number of doubts ahead of tomorrow's match but the Calne boss believes it may be time to bring back some experience.

He said: "We have done brilliantly with the youngsters and the future is looking good.

"But we have a hard run in left and maybe it is time to bring back some of the older lads, if they are fit that is.

"We are disappointed that we are not higher in the league but with all the players we lost in the summer we have to be reasonably pleased.

"This season has been one of stability and we will look to progress next season."

Robbie Lardner is still struggling with a calf injury while Gary Banks and Kevin Banks should be available for tomorrow's match.

Goalkeeper Dave Hunt is unavailable so Darryl Simms is expected to start.

Calne entertain Shrewton United on Tuesday night.
