HI-TECH whiteboards are giving children at West Ashton Primary School a new learning experience.
Parents raised £5,000 towards three new interactive boards for classrooms.
Denise Mitten, from the school, said: "We have one for each class and for a school of this size that is quite an achievement."
The new boards can be used like traditional whiteboards, with teachers and children able to write on them, but go far beyond that.
They are like giant computers, which can be used to help teach the national curriculum and give the children the chance to do presentations on screen.
They can also be used to show the children videos as a part of their lessons.
The Friends of West Ashton School raised enough to pay for two of the boards through a series of fundraising events, including jumble sales, craft fairs and cake sales.
Children have also got involved in fundraising by holding a tray sale where each put together a tray of inexpensive items and sold the whole tray for £1.
The event was a huge success, raising £90, despite there being only 86 pupils at the school.
Mrs Mitten said: "It was a great effort and some people obviously contributed more than they had to, which was really nice."
FOWAS are continuing fund-raising with a jumble sale at the Civic Hall in Trowbridge tomorrow from 10am.
