CHILDREN from across Wiltshire grabbed their pens and pencils to take part in a poster competition designed to increase awareness of safety on the roads.
Dozens of children from 12 schools and groups across Trowbridge entered the competition, organised by Wiltshire County Council's road safety group.
Children aged up to 16 were invited to take part, with different themes set for the varying age groups.
The under-fives category had to draw something relating to people who make crossing the road easier. Children at Trowbridge-based See Saw Nursery secured the award with entries featuring policemen and lollipop ladies.
Awards were presented at a ceremony held at the Arc Theatre, in Trowbridge, on Monday night.
