Ref. 29665-12Peter Fuller has been helping others for years and now he has supported two more good causes to the tune of £1,000.
Last month Peter, from Castle View Road, Stratton St Margaret, celebrated his 70th birthday.
But instead of receiving presents form his 350 guests, Peter asked that they make donations to charity.
The two good causes he chose to support were Age Concern Stratton and Thamesdown Hydrotherapy Pool, in Stratton.
Peter, who is Swindon's super blood donor having given 68 pints in 50 years, said: "I had a couple of collecting tins at the back of the hall and friends and family donated if they wanted to.
"They are a very generous lot and we collected around £500 from that one night. It was brilliant."
Peter added to that sum with his fundraising efforts from last year when he held various race nights at the Rat Trap pub in Stratton.
He said: "I enjoy fundraising. My wife Margaret died a few years ago of heart problems and we raised £1,000 for the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, where he was cared for."
