Author Don Lucey was due today (Saturday) at Borders books at the Orbital Retail Park to sign copies of his book, The Woman Who Wouldn't Die.
It tells the story of the last years of his wife, Christine, who died of cancer following a series of diagnostic blunders at the former Princess Alexandra military hospital in Wroughton.
Former Wootton Bassett resident Mr Lucey was eventually awarded £420,000 in compensation from the Ministry of Defence, helping to secure the future of the couple's daughter, Rebecca. He was due in Borders from 3pm.
