WROUGHTON: Ridgeway School headteacher Elizabeth Cooper has said a decision on whether to change the school day will be announced next month.
Mrs Cooper wants pupils to start at 8.40am instead of 8.50am, and finish at 3.20pm rather than 3.50pm. The lunch break would also be shortened. Many parents reacted angrily to the plans last month, saying the earlier finish would create traffic chaos because it would clash with the other Wroughton schools and that lunch times should be kept long for extra curricular activities.
