THE INVESTIGATION into Amanda's disappearance has prompted a countywide search by Wiltshire Constabulary.
More than 100 officers are now involved in the hunt for missing Amanda and they have so far interviewed around 40 people but only made one arrest.
Detectives face a major headache when it comes to searching through CCTV footage from across Wiltshire.
They have the equivalent of 30 days' worth of tape from the Asda supermarket in West Swindon alone. They also have to look at tapes from Purton, Calne and other locations in West Swindon, in what one police spokesman labelled a "labour intensive operation".
A total of 300 volunteers from Search and Rescue teams have also been called in, carrying out searches around Amanda's home and in the West Swindon area.
Officers today are hoping to canvas hundreds of people in West Swindon, Purton and Calne in the hope of generating new leads. They will also be distributing posters printed by the Evening Advertiser.
Det Chief Supt Howlett said yesterday: "We are very keen to learn as much as we can about Amanda and her lifestyle. The answer to this mystery could well rest in knowing more about her associates and the places she frequented. We urge anyone with any information to contact us."
Anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant they might believe it to be, is urged to call the incident room on 01380 735735 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
