SWINDON Under 17s managed a win and a defeat on their two-match Easter tour of Cornwall.
The defeat came in the opener, as Falmouth & Penryn Colts won 12-5.
Falmouth were 7-0 up after 30 minutes as the heavyweight pack burrowed through the centre.
But with fly-half Connal Knott controlling play, Swindon hit back after the break.
Ryan Dowling took a superb pass from Knott and sprinted down the touchline to score a well-deserved try.
Falmouth, who had a man sent off in the second half, scored another try to win.
But Swindon hit back on day two, to defeat Redruth 21-12.
The first try came from a scrum against the head, Knott crossing for a try.
Then a moment of individual skill took Dowling from his own 22 through the Redruth backline.
He finally wrong-footed the full-back to score between the posts and added the conversion.
Six-times Cornish champions Redruth fought back with a try worked through the forwards to make it 14-5 at half-time.
The second half was a scrappy affair and it was not until the half-hour mark that Knott scored another try which was converted by Dowling.
The Redruth pack scored a late try, but Swindon collected a well-deserved victory.
