A BEVY of James Bond beauties are making appearances at a Swindon shop over the next three weeks.
Gloria Hendry, who was in Live and Let Die, was due at the Infinitely Better store in the Brunel Centre today from 4pm to 7pm.
She will meet fans and sign autographs, as will Valerie Leon and Maryam D'Abo when they visit over the next month.
Shop owner Steve Goss is excited about the visits and is also working hard to attract even bigger names to the shop.
He said: "You cannot help but get excited about meeting Bond girls.
"But they are not just Bond girls. Gloria Hendry is well known for her horror film appearances, and Maryam was a main character in The Living Daylights, so we are very pleased to have her come along."
Mr Goss also revealed that he hoped to offer appearances by Britt Ekland a Bond girl in The Man With The Golden Gun and Maud Adams, who had the distinction of appearing in two Bond films, The Man With With The Golden Gun and Octopussy.
A visit by Bond actor George Lazenby, who starred in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, had also been confirmed and then cancelled as Mr Lazenby's partner was due to give birth during the week of his visit.
Ms Hendry played Bond girl and secret agent Rosie Carver in Roger Moore's first outing in the 1973 Bond movie Live And Let Die.
Maryam D'Abo played the character of Kara Milovy who was the only Bond girl in the Timothy Dalton film the Living Daylights.
Ms D'Abo was a cello player in the film who helped a Soviet spy to defect to the British.
She has also recently written a book looking at the Bond girls and how their appearances have made a difference to their acting careers.
She will appear at the shop to meet Bond fans from 4.30pm to 7pm on Thursday, April 22.
Valerie Leon, who appeared in the Spy Who Loved Me alongside Roger Moore and Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery, will be visiting the shop on Thursday, April 29, from 4.30 to 7pm. The actress was a familiar face on TV screens during the 1970s and was particularly well known for her role as a karate woman in a series of after shave adverts
On Thursday, May 6, actor Lawrence Makore, who appeared in The Lord Of The Rings and in the most recent Bond film, Die Another Day, will visit the shop.
Mr Makore played Lurtz, who killed off Sean Bean's character Boromir in The Fellowship Of The Ring. He will be meeting fans from 4pm to 7pm.
Mr Goss said: "We are privileged to be friendly with some of these actors.
"They love coming to the shop and meeting fans because of the friendly atmosphere here."
Mr Goss is also planning to hold a special Only Fools And Horses fun day at the shop.
Dates have not yet been confirmed but Mr Goss has already managed to get John Challis, who plays Boycie, Roger Lloyd-Pack, who plays Trigger, and Sue Holderness, who plays Marlene.
The shop is no stranger to such visits, having characters from various science fiction and cult TV programmes like Star Trek, Stargate, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Entry to the signings is free and the first personal item is signed free with a small charge for additional items.
