The residents of Marina Meadows and Waterbrook Mews are deeply concerned about the letter that we have received today from Wessex Water, stating that they will be
diverting traffic southbound through our housing estate.
Lots of children, elderly people and pets occupy the roads and paths on this estate.
Lots of the younger children play near the roads and cross the roads regulary to reach friends on the other side of our housing estate.
At present they are quite safe but with the large increase in traffic that will occur we all fear for their safety. You reported last week (April 8) that 2,100 cars travelled along London Road in an hour.
Our tiny bendy roads were not made for heavy traffic.
Wessex Water could easily divert the traffic through Hopton Industrial Estate.
We will be getting a petition
together and we are looking for your support.
