ChHIPPENHAM'S U12 squad will be taking all 35 members on a short to Wales, leaving tomorrow and returning on Sunday.

They will be staying at the Morfa Bay Activity Centre near Tenby in West Wales and while they are there, the players, the coaches and several parents, to go can expect to enjoy an assualt course, body boarding, beach rugby and many other activities.

In amongst the activities, two match of 15 a side junnior rugby have been arranged. One will be against Narberth and the other against Whitland.

In order for the players, coaches and helpers to go on tour, the squad have spent several months fundraising and the final total of £6,500 is a credit to the squad.

The fundraising has included the team packing customers' shopping at Somerfield, a couple of sponsored cycle ride round the Castle Combe racing circuit and marshalling cars at a car boot sale.

They also received a generous donation towards the tour from Safeway and Sainsbury in Chippenham.

The team has also gained a set of shirts courtesy of sponsorship of Morris and Neal, Carpentry and a set of drill tops have been sponsored by Rota-Cal Limited.

As the 2004/05 season sees the squad move up into the Junior Playing Section of Chippenham Rugby Football Club, TDG Limited are going to provide the players with their club blazers.
