SWINDON Cricket Club will try to open their season again tomorrow, as they travel to local rivals Cirencester for a friendly.
New captain John Baden will lead the side for the first time and takes with him a side packed with first-team regulars.
New seam bowler Tristan Hawkes will make his club debut, while Baden will be delighted to see off-spinner Mo Zohaib return to the side after missing much of the last campaign through injury.
The skipper himself leads a long batting line-up which includes brother Paul, Darren Beasant, Liam Tucker and Andy Staff, all of whom will be looking for big scores prior to the start of the league campaign.
Simon Barnett will provide much needed athleticism in the field.
On Sunday, Andy Reed leads his side to Winterbourne Bassett.
