ANDY KING knows victory at Wycombe Wanderers could virtually seal Town's play-off spot and the manager has admitted it would be a 'disaster' to fail now with the dream tantalisingly close.

Town head for the relegation-doomed Chairboys tomorrow with the manager anxious to cross the finishing line as quickly as possible.

King said: "I want to end as high as we can. I'd love to finish third and play the team in sixth, or if not finish fourth.

"It's edging closer though. If we beat Wycombe I will feel very confident about making the play-offs.

"The quicker I can say we're in the play-offs and may the best team win, the better.

"There are four games to go. We are so close. When are we going to say we're there?

"I have to admit it would be a disaster to fail now.

"All I will be saying to my players tomorrow is which team and which performance are we going to get? Jekyll or Hyde?

"The challenge is to find a consistent run-in.

"Can they take the same belief, confidence, urgency and energy from the Luton performance into the games to come?

"There is pressure. I've told the players they should be in the play-offs, they deserve to be in the play-offs. Accept the pressure and go and play under it.

"All I know is that if my players collectively find a quality performance, they'll beat Wycombe."

Brian Howard is available again following a three-match ban, much to the manager's delight.

King said: "Brian being available again is a major bonus for me.

"It means I have options and can move things around if I feel that's the way to go.

"I have decisions to make before Saturday. You just hope you make the right decisions and that your players are honest enough to accept them."

Striker Rory Fallon is hoping he gets the nod to continue. The New Zealander has no intention of merely being remembered for three Easter goals as he strives to help Town build promotion-winning momentum.

Should King decide to hand his young striker a start tomorrow, the former Barnsley man is looking to pick up where he left off at Luton.

The 22-year-old said: "We want to make sure we get the play-off spot confirmed but there's no question of that just being enough.

"We have four games left and we want to try and win all of them, or as many as possible to really build momentum for the play-offs.

"Teams that go into the play-offs full of belief and on a run generally do well."

Whether in the team or on the bench, Fallon is not about to quibble, and he said: "I believe I can score in each game I play. That's the way I am.

"If the gaffer decides to play Sam and Tommy, that's fine. It's about the team, as I said."
