CREATIVE youngsters turned everyday rubbish into musical instruments in Corsham on Wednesday.
The Pound Arts Centre has been running daily workshops for youngsters during the Easter school holidays.
On Wednesday over 20 children, aged between eight and 12, made wood chimes from everyday materials, with help from musical expert Nick Crump.
Nicholas Keyworth, arts director at The Pound Arts Centre, said: "Many of them came here for something to do during the holiday but it also has an educational side, it develops their artistic skills.
"We change the line-up quite regularly so different programmes are available for the children. We like to keep it all fresh.
"The wind chime workshop was thoroughly enjoyable. I was really impressed with the children's concentration, they were 100 per cent interested."
On Thursday morning children took part in stage fighting, a form of no contact combat.
Mr Keyworth said: "We have had youngsters from all over north Wiltshire over the past two weeks, it has been fantastic.
"Later in the year we will be taking our workshops across the region to other villages and towns."
Activities at The Pound Arts Centre are also run outside school holidays.
