STEVE White is hoping his Chippenham Town side can reproduce their top six form ahead of tomorrow's trip to Hednesford.

With three matches remaining the nerves are beginning to jangle over whether the Bluebirds can maintain their play-off position, but the Town boss is still confident.

Since White's arrival in November, Chippenham's form has improved drastically, forgetting Monday's 6-1 collapse to Dorchester, and the manager is calling for more of the same.

He said: "All the damage to our season was done in the first 19 games of the season when Chippenham took 14 points out of a possible 57.

"If you look at what we have done since November then we would be in the top six in the table. We have averaged one and a half points a game in the 20 matches since I have come to the club."

Charlie Griffin is expected to have recovered from a knee injury he picked up on Monday and Mark Badman should be available after a hamstring injury so White will be able to pick from a full strength side.

"Monday's result is now history and we need to concentrate on the future," he said.

"Saturday's match is of massive importance but our away form has been good so far. We still have a great chance of a play-off position and are in the driving seat.

"But whatever happens I have been very pleased with the effort the players have put in since I got here.

"When I came here I targeted the play-offs and I still think that is reasonable even though people were starting to look at the automatic promotion places."
