POLICE are trying to trace thousands of pounds worth of jewellery stolen from a home in Westbury last month.
Thieves forced the back door of a house in Warminster Road before escaping with the £25,000 haul between 11am and 6.15pm on March 16.
The family, who do not wish to be named, are appealing to anyone who may have seen the stolen items to come forward.
The missing jewellery includes a £3,500 solid gold antique watch and an 18 carat gold ring, set with three small diamonds, worth £750, both dating back to the 1940s.
Among the other items are a £1,500 18 carat gold bracelet set with large heart-shaped blue topaz gems and an Arthur Price rectangular hip flask.
Anyone with information on the jewellery should contact Westbury police on (01373) 822171 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
