OFFICERS were out in force in Amanda's home village of Purton yesterday, questioning residents outside the One Stop shop which she called at last Thursday morning.
They spoke to around 60 villagers, some of whom remembered seeing a car similar to Amanda's in Purton last Thursday. Police will now pool together information gathered from the small North Wiltshire village.
Images of the nursery assistant were captured on the store's CCTV cameras last Thursday as she went to buy cigarettes before driving to Calne with her boyfriend.
The shop is just yards from Amanda's family home in Blacklands, where the blinds were once again shut yesterday.
