SPEEDING cars outside their homes have led three young Trowbridge girls to launch their own safety campaign.
Penny Smart, 12, her 10-year-old sister Jasmine and their 11-year-old neighbour, Chloe Law, decided to start a campaign to try and persuade drivers to keep to the speed limit after watching cars along Victoria Road, Hilperton.
Jasmine said: "We like to go out on our bicycles but none of us feel safe with cars speeding through."
The youngsters have put up notices asking drivers to stick to the 30mph speed limit along the road and they are already seeing some changes.
Penny said: "Cars are slowing down now we have put our sign up. We just want them to stick to the speed limit."
Victoria Road is often used by drivers to cut through from Hilperton Road to The Down and Wyke Road.
Chloe said: "This is a peaceful road and it would be safe if the drivers didn't go so fast."
