SWINDON SUPERMARINE can throw a major spanner in the works of Redditch's title charge tomorrow.
The Western Division hope to move a step closer to glory with three points at Hunts Copse, but a Marine upset would hand the initiative to second-placed Gloucester City.
Mark Collier's side are becoming accustomed to hosting the division's best after losing 2-0 to Gloucester last Saturday.
The Marine boss is determined to avoid a second loss against another leading light.
Said Collier: "I've had Chris Burns (Gloucester manager) ringing me up asking us to do them a favour and hopefully we will.
"Redditch have had a few blips recently and we have performed well against top teams like Gloucester and Team Bath."
Marine are still looking light in the midfield department, with skipper Giles Harris (knee), Dean Gilevicz (groin) and Barrie Matthews (holiday) all out.
n Cirencester manager Brian Hughes hasn't given up on a top-two finish yet, despite a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Clevedon on Monday.
That point was enough to secure Ciren a top-seven finish and a place in next season's Premier Division.
But the failure to win leaves the third-placed Centurions three points behind Gloucester and eight behind Redditch.
The championship is out of reach but Hughes still harbours ambitions of pinching the runners-up prize.
"I hoped that the thought of a runners-up medal would keep us going," he said.
"Had we beaten Clevedon we would have had a chance.
"But Redditch and Gloucester have still got to play each other so there's still a glimmer."
Ciren entertain Ilkeston tomorrow with fitness doubts over Jody Bevan, Mike Davis, Andy McCabe and Marc Richards.
Fringe players like Gus Fraser will be given a run-out in place of the casualties.
