THIS week was the second time I have phoned the council to say I am out of black bags.
The lady who answered my call stated I had received four rolls of black bags last year and they wouldn't be issuing any more yet. I told her we had received two rolls not four, whereupon she argued and told me that everyone got four.
When I told her I had to borrow from my neighbour to put out this week's rubbish, she replied that I would have to buy some!
There is no way I am going to buy black bags for this purpose, especially when my council tax has gone up by 37.5 per cent in three years.
Nobody has been in touch since, even though I told them that if the same thing happens this week I will take all my rubbish, in carrier bags, to the Civic Offices and deposit it in the car park.
