There were many broken hearts when Jason Donovan disappeared from the limelight a few years back.
But now the Aussie soap star and pop idol of the late 1980s is to wow his fans once again when he appears in Swindon.
Fans will be able to see him when he makes an appearance at the Casbah in John Street, on Friday.
Jason became a household name in the mid-80s after he took on the role of Scott Robinson in BBC1's hit soap Neighbours.
His on-screen romance with Kylie Minogue's character Charlene Robinson is legendary and he even dabbled in an off-screen love affair with his fellow Australian actress, too.
Jason's early pop hits included Nothing Can Divide Us and the duet with Kylie, Especially For You.
He went on to record further hits such as Sealed With A Kiss, Ten Good Reasons, Too Many Broken Hearts and Every Day.
He will appear at Casbah from an acclaimed run in the West End musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Club manager Ian Davidson said that getting Jason was a real coup.
He said: "We are very excited about him coming along, especially the two girls who own the bar, they are living a childhood dream.
"The tickets have sold well and the bar will be packed solid."
Tickets are £5. Call 01793 436020.
