CHIPPENHAM lifted the Dorset & Wilts Under 18 Vase for the third consecutive year as WImborne were thumped 34-8 at North Dorset RFC.
Fly-half Gareth Wiltshire bagged the first points with a 30 metre penalty in front of the posts.
Then, from another penalty No 8 Dan Shuker drew the defence and fed scrum-half Danny Burke who touched down.
Wimborne fought back and squeezed over in the corner for an unconverted try.
But good passing put winger Peter Rigby over in the corner to restore Chippenham's advantage.
A Wimborne penalty cut the gap, but with time running out in the half, loosehead prop Simon Drage touched down to make it 20-8.
Chippenham survived a Wimborne storm at the start of the second half, but Wiltshire scored a converted try to put them back in control.
With five mintues to go, Chippenham finished in style. Shuker drove up the blind side and Rigby finished the move, touching down under the posts.
Wiltshire added the conversion for a personal total of 19 points.
A SCRATCH Chippenham second string managed a superb 27-20 triumph at Whitehall.
Trailing to an early converted try, Chippenham battled back and centre Dave Burrows touched down, returning fly-half Jack Oliver converting before adding a penalty.
Left winger Rich Clements crossed to make it 17-7 at half-time before Whitehall kicked a penalty.
The teams then traded tries. Burrows went through to score his second, but Whitehall closed to within two points.
But Chippenham's wing Julian Squires intercepted a loose pass to score in the corner and seal victory.
