A LATE Ben Fitch goal handed Cirencester a 1-0 win over Yate last night and results elsewhere reignited the club's Dr Martens Western Division title hopes.
Fitch thumped home in the 82nd minute to lift Ciren to second in the table as previous occupants Gloucester were stunned 4-2 at Evesham.
Brian Hughes' side are now five points behind leaders Redditch with two games to play and the club's are due to meet in the final game of the season.
While Ciren continue to play catch up, Purton are firmly in the driving seat in the race for the Hellenic Division One West crown.
Alan Webb and Toby Clark netted in a 2-0 win over Old Woodstock leaving the Red House outfit needing a win at home to Quarry Nomads on Saturday to take the title.
Geoff Swatton scored twice and was sent off in Wootton Bassett's 7-2 defeat at Brackley in the Premier Division.
Meanwhile, Highworth travel to the Premier's bottom club Gloucester United tonight with doubts over Ross Adams and Nick McRae.
