Ref. 30020-25BRANDON Humphries is flying to Hungary on Saturday to learn how to walk.
The four-year-old, from The Prinnels, West Swindon, has cerebral palsy and will spend a month at the world-renowned Peto Institute, in Budapest thanks to the generosity of people from Swindon.
More than £5,000 has been raised to pay for the trip, £400 of which was donated by the nursery Brandon attends.
Headstarts Nursery, in Welton Road, Westlea, raised the money by holding non-uniform days, a raffle and accepting donations.
Alison Barrett, 45, manager of Headstarts, said: "Brandon is such a lovely, bright boy, we were thrilled to help."
His parents, Tracey, 38, and Tony, 42, launched a £4,000 fundraising campaign last month, called Brandon's Best Foot Forward, so their son could visit the Peto Institute.
The institute pioneered a unique therapy to treat cerebral palsy called conductive education, which now helps sufferers from across the world.
During his stay Brandon will undergo an intensive form of physiotherapy to gain greater control of his legs.
Brandon said: "I'm looking forward to going. It's going to help me walk."
