GAZETTE & HERALD: PLANS are under way for a glitzy fund-raising May Ball in aid of The Prince's Trust, being held in the ballroom at Hartham Park.
The black tie event will begin with a champagne reception in the rose garden, followed by a four-course dinner specially created and prepared by newly appointed Chef Hein Van Vorstenborsch.
The chef has recently joined Hartham Park in Corsham from St Catherine's Court, the home of Actress, Jane Seymour.
The night will also provide dancing until midnight and a chance to try your hand at a game of roulette or blackjack. There will be a raffle and grand auction running throughout the evening.
Guest speaker for the evening will be Frederick Psyk, Regional Director of the Prince's Trust.
The trust was founded by The Prince of Wales in 1976 and has supported almost half a million people since first established. It is one of the UK's leading charities for disadvantaged young people, targeting those who need the most help.
Jeffrey Thomas, chief executive of Hartham Park said: "We are absolutely delighted to be able to support the The Prince's Trust and accordingly we have chosen it as our preferred charity for 2004. We shall be working very closely with the trust in support of the work it does. We hope as many people as possible will attend this spectacular event in the hope of raising funds, which will really make a difference to so many young lives."
