THE Pewsey Platform skateboard BMX and inline club is promoting its first ever Back 2 Basics Jam on Saturday.
Contestants are expected from over a wide area to compete in classes for the under 14s, 14-17 year olds and over 17s.
Attractions, say the organisers Dan Pyle and Ollie Spence, will include break dancers, graffiti artists and live music.
Local band 8th Fret will be presenting live music together with DJ Curvespace.
The professional skate team rolling Like Kingz will be giving demonstrations.
Entrance is free and the event starts at 2pm and finishes at 10pm.
Dan Pyle said: "This is an opportunity for skaters and BMXers to come and experience the atmosphere and adrenaline of a one-day skate festival right in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside."
Application forms to take part in Saturday's jam competitions (parents must countersign applications by under 18s) can be obtained from Pewsey leisure centre (01672) 562469 or from the Gazette office in Marlborough.
