NEW recruit Rene Regis has only spent less than a month at Hardenhuish Park but believes Chippenham have the players capable of competing in the new Conference Two division.
The 30-year-old St Lucian utility player, who signed on transfer deadline day, has been involved in the thrashings against Dorchester and Hednesford. "The last week has been slightly strange week with us losing 6-1 and 4-1," he said.
"The first game when we got battered 6-1 it was down to individual errors and it happened again at Hednesford again with poor defending.
"We definitely have to defend better as a team in our final two games of the season."
Despite the set-backs Regis said he was confident going into the final two league games against Moor Green and Hinckley.
"I can already tell that the players here are good enough to perform at this level. At the moment we just need confidence," he said.
